Dysfunctional Youth - 1993 Demo

The first, and final installment of North Jersey's own Dysfunctional Youth demo tapes.  This one was recorded at some point previous to 1995, most likely 1993.  A little more amateur recording quality (4 track, no doubt) than their second effort. Catchy, straight forward crack-a-beer punk none the less.  I've been trying my hardest to get an unreleased 7" from the band recorded in 1998 so stay tuned folks!

Pepsi Generation - Tension Is Building EP (1995)

I haven't heard this record in 15 years since my buddy Jon (rip), had it on a tape and we would crank it in his van on nights of driving around and committing acts of vandalism in the suburbs.  Classic punk cover art consisting of the capitol building having spikes on it.  The lyrical content is just pure genius, just listen to the track "Cancer" and your instantly transported back in time to an empty parking lot somewhere in Eastern Pennsylvania circa 1995.  Punk kids on skateboards breaking bottles and smoking cigarettes pissed as hell. 5 tracks of sloppy sarcastic teenage punk on FTW records. The band changed their name to Bomb Squadron later that year thus beginning a long lasting, albeit still dysfunctional, musical bloodline that still exists to the present day.

Spent Idols - Spent City Rockers (1996)

Obnoxious snotty punk rock and roll from San Diego area mid 90s' on some weird Japanese label 1+2 RECORDS. I don't know much about these guys other than their career allegedly spans back to the 70's and they did a split with Florida's dead end kids somewhere in the late 90's.  One of the bands I was lured into by cool looking ad's in MRR when I was a kid.   Grease up your pogo stick, its time to go through the ceiling again!

The Workin' Stiffs - Dog Tired and Then Some (1996)

Wow, forgot about the blog for a bit there.  Many updates coming... First off a WORKIN STIFFS LPIn your face street punk from San Fransisco done very well.  Catchy guitar hooks all the way, cigarette choked working class vocals.  These guys were on the ball for most of the 90's.  I think one of them started TKO Records. They first came to my attention when they did a split on Beer City records with the Bristles.  Bleach your jeans and resent your boss even more, this is gritty working class punk at its finest. oi!
